I have the honour to confirm the telegram (of which

a copy is enclosed) which was sent at the request and ex-

pense of Messrs. ¥.R.Grace and Company, regarding the

shipment to them of pea-mits from Ilong-Kong, and pepper

from Singapore. A copy of the guarantee which they have

given is enclosed herewith.

The firm is prepared to submit the names of their

buyers in this country and inform me that all their sale are made within the United States.
